Expo Techint opens the Group’s doors in Buenos Aires to 255 students exploring their first career steps

Talent Attraction teams at the Techint Group regularly visit universities and career events to meet students and young professionals. Expo Techint reverses that logic: it opens the Group’s doors so that new generations can get to know its companies from the inside, exchange experiences with its professionals and discover opportunities to build their careers.

How does Expo Techint work?

The 2026 edition, held on September 15 in Argentina, drew 750 applications, from which 300 candidates were selected and 255 took part in the day. At the Techint Group Convention Center in Buenos Aires, participants visited the stands of Tenaris, Ternium, Tecpetrol, Techint Engineering & Construction and APSOT, met the Human Resources teams of each company, learned about current openings and joined networking activities. The event ran in two shifts — morning and afternoon — with the same agenda, so attendees could choose the time that best suited them.

“Expo Techint is one of the most important initiatives we have to show new generations, first-hand, what it is like to work at the Group. For the third consecutive year we have seen student interest and participation grow, which confirms there is real motivation to learn about our projects, our culture and the development opportunities we offer,” said Sofía Salaz, Talent Attraction Manager.

What happens during the day?

The agenda combined an institutional presentation of the Techint Group with talks on artificial intelligence, employability workshops and first-person testimonials from young professionals who shared their experiences of joining and growing across the different companies. Beyond the content sessions, participants took part in interactive activities and games, used a dedicated space for CV photos, and met Talent Attraction specialists who offered guidance on selection processes, professional development and future opportunities within the Group.

“The most valuable part of the Expo is creating genuine spaces for exchange. Throughout the day we saw participants asking questions, approaching the stands and talking with our professionals. For us it is a great opportunity to meet talent in person and support them in their first professional steps,” said Daiana Montenegro, Talent Attraction Specialist.

Which programs are behind the opportunities?

“Behind every participant there was a selection process that allowed us to bring in profiles aligned with the opportunities we offer today through initiatives such as Techint Top Talent, our Referral and Scholarship programs, and other strategic searches across the Group. Bringing the fair to our own offices also reflects the collaborative work of all the Techint Group HR teams,” added Salaz.

Part of a wider commitment to young talent

Expo Techint is one of the ways the Techint Group connects with new generations in Argentina, alongside the Roberto Rocca Education Programs and its university partnerships. With more than 89,000 employees worldwide, the Group recruits across engineering, technical and corporate roles in Latin America, Europe, Asia and North America.
