ExxonMobil names Tenaris its 2024 Supplier of the Year

ExxonMobil has named Tenaris its 2024 Supplier of the Year, recognizing the company’s performance, competitiveness and high standards as consistent with ExxonMobil’s values and expectations.

The first day of the ALACERO Summit 2024 featured Paolo Rocca as the keynote speaker, who highlighted the state of the steel industry in Latin America, emphasizing the challenges of economic fragmentation, deindustrialization, and unfair competition from China, as well as providing an overview of global decarbonization efforts.

Worldsteel recognizes Tenaris for safety initiative

Tenaris has been recognized by the World Steel Association (worldsteel) for deploying an automatic anti-collision system for forklifts at Dalmine, Tenaris’s seamless pipe mill in Bergamo, Italy. This acknowledgement is part of worldsteel's 2024 Safety and Health Excellence Recognition, which highlights exceptional initiatives in safety and health by international steel manufacturers.

“We believe our industrial project will only be sustainable with the support of our communities,” emphasized Máximo Vedoya in the 2023 Sustainability Report, which reviewed the work done throughout the year to move forward in Ternium’s strategy. The actions highlighted included monitoring the decarbonization plan, which involved reviewing the goals set in the previous edition to drive long-term positive impact. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the value of community development in the areas where the company operates, as well as the importance of a strong safety culture in all aspects of the business.
